Schon nach den ersten Seiten hat mich „A Court of Thorns and Roses“ mitten ins Herz getroffen – diese Mischung aus Magie, Spannung und einem Hauch von Romantik zieht einen sofort in ihren Bann. Die Geschichte startet, als die junge Jägerin Feyre einen scheinbar harmlosen Akt begeht, der sie direkt in eine Welt entführt, die man nur aus Mythen kennt: Prythian, das Reich der Fae. Maas‘ Schreibstil ist ein echter Pluspunkt: flüssig, bildgewaltig und mit dieser perfekten Mischung aus epischem Worldbuilding und persönlicher Nähe, die dafür sorgt, dass man sich mitten im Geschehen wähnt. Man spürt förmlich die magische Atmosphäre und die unterschwellige Spannung, die sich ständig aufbaut.
Klar, der ein oder andere Klischeemoment schleicht sich ein – besonders im Bereich der Liebesdreiecke kann es manchmal ein bisschen vorhersehbar wirken. Und ja, man muss bereit sein, sich auf eine Mischung aus Fantasy und Romantasy einzulassen, die stellenweise ganz schön auf die Emotionen drückt. Aber hey, das macht das Ganze auch intensiv und mitreißend.
Kurz gesagt: Wer Lust auf eine mitreißende Fantasy-Geschichte mit viel Herz, Spannung und einer Prise prickelnder Romantik hat, ist hier absolut richtig. Es ist leicht, sich in Feyres Welt zu verlieren und mitzufiebern – ein perfekter Einstieg für alle, die epische Fantasy mit einer emotionalen Note suchen.
